Promethean’s Professional development department continues to grow to best meet our customer’s professional needs so we can assist with integrating the Activclassroom. We believe it is only with training that you can get the most out of your Activclassroom. With this in mind, we have created a series of online and ace-to-face courses developed to deliver high quality training that will help you achieve your teaching and learning goals.
Onsite Training
Promethean provides onsite training at your school to support teachers to get the most out of their interactive whiteboard and Activinspire software. All of our trainers are experienced teachers and each training day can be tailored to the level that your teachers require.
Workshops
Face-to-face workshops offer a hands-on, practical way to learn more about your Activinspire software. During the workshop participants will use their own laptops to create a range of effective interactive classroom resources. Workshops are held at our Promethean Learning Centre in Adelaide or at key Promethean Schools in country areas and are led by our accredited Promethean trainers. With a focus on creativity, connectivity and in-depth comprehension, the courses are much like an ActivClassroom lesson themselves— exciting, engaging, personal and everyday functional.
Promethean User Groups
Promethean User Group meetings are held termly in South Australia. The meetings provide new and existing Promethean teachers the opportunity to trial new technology, as well as exchange information and network with their colleagues. user group meetings are usually held after school and are Free to attend. ActivInspire Level 1 Skills & Advanced Skills Courses
Interactive IT Group have developed three, sequential 1 day courses that take teachers step-by-step through the possibilities of using ActivInspire in the classroom while developing powerful, interactive teaching resources.
Back to Basics - for teachers new to ActivBoard technology and for those requiring a refresher
Next Steps- this course covers intermediate level material and is designed for those who are cofortable with the basics
Advanced - covering the advanced features of the Promethean ActivInspire software.
These Face-to-Face workshops include all the modules of the Core and Advanced Skills component of the online courses. However, they offer a more in-depth study and practical application of the software in a classroom situation. Delivered by our accredited Promethean trainers with an education background, the interactive workshops explore ways to develop customised lessons and resources using the features of ActivInspire.
Key benefits include practical hands-on experience of using ActivInspire with the ActivBoard and guidance in using the software to deliver lessons embedded within the existing curriculum. The personal touch adds an extra dimension to your professional learning.
